Murdishaw Health Rap gets respect from local councillor
Young people at Murdishaw Youth Club have composed, performed and recorded a rap during recent DJ/MC Workshops at the Youth Centre. The theme for the workshops was health and the participants wrote lyrics around cannabis use and sexual health.
The young people learned how to set up equipment, mix, and take part in MCing. Everyone who took part will also receive an AQA - a nationally recognised qualification - in DJ skills.
Halton Borough Council's Executive Board Member for Children and Young People, Cllr John Swain, said: "The sessions went well and they gave young people a chance to boost their confidence and show off their talents."
